Wedding Trends 2019 – Part 2

Wedding Trends 2019, Wedding Banquet Tables

Wedding Trends 2019

This is the second part of a two part series. In the first part of Wedding Trends 2019 we discussed the fabulous Wedding Ideas that are trending this year:

  • Custom monogram Wedding stationery, handkerchiefs and cake toppers
  • Opulent cakes with personalised monograms, metallic touches and regal piping
  • How to scent your Wedding with a custom scent and scented favours

In this second part of the Wedding Trends series we are going to look at:

  • Floral Circular Arches and Installations
  • Simple Dresses, and
  • Banquet and Grazing Tables

Floral Circular Arches

This trend is huge and we expect it to continue into 2020. Floral circular arches, made from various materials, are making an appearance at many Weddings this year, from Summer to Winter.

Irish Wedding

Summer in Ireland is often unpredictable but in recent years we’ve had an improvement in weather and with the long bright summer evenings, what better a place to plan a summer Wedding, than at a beautiful location somewhere in Ireland.

Summer is a likely time to see beautiful circular arches featuring an abundance of flowers. The Caroline Wedding Stationery Collection was designed with a summer Wedding in mind. This Wedding stationery collection features a stunning floral circular arch on almost every element of the collection. You can carry the theme through your Wedding and match your stationery to your decor. Imagine, your Wedding invitations can match the backdrop of your Wedding photographs.

A Winter Wedding is more likely to feature a grass or wooden style arch. There are so many options and styles that you could spend all day dreaming about floral circular arches!

Floral Installations

Another Wedding Trend for 2019 is floral installations. You will see them hanging over tables, in the drinks reception area and outside. They can be included in your Wedding in so many ways. They make a real statement and are a great way to make an impression.

As mentioned in our previous post “Wedding Trends Part 1”, Wedding Wire have put together a wonderful list of Wedding Tips and I love how they included a section on Wedding Table Flowers. Of course they included the trend we mentioned of floral installations but some other additions that I love are:

  • Florals in teapots and teacups
  • Birdcages and lanterns overflowing with flowers and
  • Single blooms in tiny jars – I put together a range of these for the reception before my sister’s wedding and for my sister in laws wedding. They are so simple to do but make a beautiful addition to any table.

Simple Wedding Dresses – Wedding Trends

Simple dresses are on trend this year for Weddings. You will see many Irish brides wearing understated dresses. Simple Wedding dresses don’t have to mean boring though. A bride can wear a simple design that makes a beautiful impression. Check out some of these simple dress styles and start dreaming about your Wedding dress style today.

What better way to complement a simple Wedding dress than with simple Wedding Stationery. Our Petite Fleur Wedding Collection is the perfect addition to a classic style Wedding. This Wedding Invitation range is beautiful, simple and chic. Check out the full Petite Fleur stationery collection and match your Wedding dress style to your Wedding Stationery.

Wedding Grazing Tables

The Wedding menu is one of the most important aspects of your Wedding Day. The guests want to know, what they will eat and when. You know what it’s like at an Irish Wedding, sometimes you hang around waiting for dinner, having a few glasses of wine and wishing there was some food to eat beforehand. Depending on the timing of your day will depend on whether or not you need to provide food during the drinks reception.

A trending idea, instead of canapes, is a grazing table. In this way you can provide such a wide array of food that you hope to be able to cater for every guest at your Wedding, including children. To cater for guests with allergies you can provide a separate grazing table with appropriate dietary signs.

What about a dessert grazing table? Oh wow, who wouldn’t love to be able to graze through dessert, instead of receiving just one option?! My sister in law had a dessert grazing table at her Wedding and it was such a treat for all the guests.

Wedding Banquet Tables

When we talk about Wedding Trends for 2019, we have to mention Wedding banquet tables. They are so popular this year and we expect to see them at many Irish Weddings in 2020 too. The idea of having long tables at a Wedding is fantastic. People can speak to more than just those that are beside them. They also have the option to talk to the guests on the opposite side of the table too. We have attended quite a few formal and casual Weddings that had banquet tables and think it works fantastically.
