Design Inspiration from Castle Durrow

Here are some invitation ideas inspired by the venue itself:

  • Regal Details: Embossed gold foil, antique-style monograms, and wax seals lend an air of aristocratic charm that perfectly suits the grandeur of the castle.
  • Botanical Touches: Incorporate floral illustrations or pressed flower details to echo the lush gardens and glasshouse at Castle Durrow.
  • Classic Irish Elegance: Use traditional Irish motifs, Celtic knots, or Gaelic phrases to add a personal, cultural touch to your invitations.
  • Color Palette: Soft blush, forest green, ivory, and deep burgundy all draw from the natural surroundings and interior tones of the venue.

Wording Ideas with a Romantic Irish Flair

For couples who want to embrace the romance of Ireland, consider adding poetic phrases or a gentle nod to Irish heritage in your wording. Something like:

“Together with their families, Aoife & Liam invite you to celebrate their marriage in the enchanting setting of Castle Durrow, where old-world charm meets modern love…”

Or include a line of Irish poetry or an Irish blessing on a vellum overlay or invitation insert for that extra touch of sentiment.

Don’t Forget the Details

Make sure your invitations also include:

  • Directions to Castle Durrow (especially helpful for guests traveling from abroad)
  • Accommodation Options nearby or at the castle itself
  • Dress Code suggestions (castle weddings often call for something a bit more formal)
  • Weekend Itinerary if you’re planning multiple events across your wedding weekend

Finishing Touches

Seal the look with hand-tied ribbon, a custom venue sketch of Castle Durrow, or even a touch of linen or tweed for that rustic Irish texture.

A Keepsake Worth Saving

Just like the memories you’ll make at Castle Durrow, your invitations should be something you and your guests will treasure long after the last dance. With the right blend of elegance and Irish charm, your stationery can become a beautiful keepsake—a reminder of where your happily ever after began.
